OBALA means the coast – a feast of seaside flavors: crisp rosé, Dalmatian olive oil, rakija, Skradin risotto, squid stew, fresh cheese, and dry-cured pršut. Pure Adriatic on a plate.
OBALA means the coast – the meeting point of land and sea, where life is lived between waves and rock. This box brings the coastal flavors to your table. It begins with a dry, crisp rosé (Lasin or Babić), known for red-berry notes, Adriatic herbs, and a clean mineral finish. There’s extra virgin olive oil, cold-pressed from sun-soaked Dalmatian varieties such as Oblica, Lastovka, Krvavica, smooth with a peppery kick, and a small bottle of rakija, a traditional Croatian brandy with a deep, earthy flavor.
For the table: the famed Skradin risotto, a centuries-old recipe rich with slow-cooked, meaty depth; squid stew in a dark, wine-based sauce with coastal herbs; fresh cheese made from cow, goat, or sheep milk, soft and delicate; and the unmistakable Dalmatian pršut, dry-cured in Adriatic air until smoky, savory, and requiring a second serving.
