At OPG Anica, olive growing is not a hobby but a legacy, lovingly nurtured for generations. The grandmother and late father planted the first olive trees, and today, the same land is cultivated by a husband and wife who have continued the family journey, tending to old groves and planting new ones.
On their plots, varieties like Oblica, Krvavica, Leccino, Pendolino, and Coratina grow. Among the trees, there are also 15 specimens of a mysterious, large-fruited variety—so rare that no one can determine with certainty which it is. But what is certain is that every drop of oil from this family story is of the highest quality, confirmed by numerous awards. Among the most prestigious is the gold medal won in New York, proof that even with a small number of trees, great success can be achieved when you work with love and knowledge.
OPG Anica leaves nothing to chance—every agrotechnical measure is carried out carefully and on time, and their knowledge is constantly updated. Following innovations in olive growing and applying them in the field, they decided to shape all their olive trees into a polyconic vase—a cultivation method that allows for an ideal compromise between nature and man. This balance, combined with manual labor, a controlled harvest, and cold pressing, creates an oil with a rich taste and a distinct aroma, in which you can sense both the landscape and its history.
Although small in the number of trees and liters produced, OPG Anica is a great example of dedication, expertise, and respect for the olive tree. On their table, there are no compromises—only top-quality extra virgin olive oil, born from the land, tradition, and daily effort.
